Who’s Who at The Little Nell:
Robert McCormick, Executive Chef – In April of 2011, Chef Robert McCormick took the helm of The Little Nell’s culinary operations, including the Forbes Four Star Award-winning restaurant, Montagna. McCormick has worked at some of the top restaurants in the country, most notably five years with Daniel Boulud as corporate sous chef.
He describes his cuisine as a “passionate, local spin on European classics” and enjoys spending his free time on his motorcycle, hiking or taking photographs of Colorado’s scenery, although most of the time you can find him in the kitchen.
Jonathan Pullis, Master Sommelier – Amongst an elite group of just 112 Master Sommeliers in North America, Jonathan oversees the 20,000 bottle award-winning wine cellar at The Little Nell.
At Montagna at The Little Nell, Jonathan provides the restaurant’s diners with creative and unique wine choices to match their chosen cuisine. Jonathan’s extensive experience and passion for wine adds even more prestige to The Little Nell’s stellar wine and food offerings.
Jonathan leads an accomplished wine team at The Little Nell, including Sommelier Carlton McCoy and Csaba ”Chubby” Oveges.
Sabato Sagaria, Food & Beverage Director – During the past 15 or so years Sabato has worn several hats as cook, restaurant manager, consultant, professor, author, food and beverage director and sommelier.
He has contributed to the success of some of the country’s top hotels, restaurants and resorts including The Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, The Greenbrier Hotel, The Inn at Little Washington and The Little Nell, where he currently presides over the property’s food & beverage operations. You can also find him snowboarding and enjoying Aspen’s many outdoor adventures in his limited free time.
Melina Glavas, Director of Events – Melina has seamlessly orchestrated countless occasions for The Little Nell, ranging from intimate anniversary celebrations for two to large-scale weddings and corporate productions for 600.
Melina has a natural gift for making her clients feel comfortable and turning their dreams/visions into a reality. She has an innate understanding of the luxury industry as well as a sense of fine taste that adds to every part of an event.
David Doerr, Director of Fly Fishing – David’s passion for fly fishing started at the age of twelve. Since then, David has earned a degree in biology and has spent time fishing and hosting fishing excursions in New York, Belize, Costa Rica, Cuba and Aspen.
David has also appeared on ESPN’s Great Outdoors and is an experienced gourmet game chef. David has developed an extensive selection of exclusive adventures and excursions to cater to the needs of any angler, from novice to expert.
Dylan Bowman, Front Office Manager – Dylan is a self-proclaimed hospitality professional and freelance adventurer.
When he is not behind the front desk at The Little Nell, he is usually doing gondola laps on Aspen Mountain or enjoying the solitude of one of Aspen’s priceless pieces of singletrack. In addition to being an avid skier, Dylan is also a competitive ultramarathon racer with many impressive finishes to his name. You can follow more of his adventures on his blog, Live Epic.
Kane Hudson, Lead Adventure Specialist – Kane is a bit of an adventure junkie. Here are just a FEW of his adventures: He hiked 900 miles of New Zealand’s North Island and tandem biked 900 miles of the South Island; he circumnavigated Australia by motorcycle; he biked across the U.S. three times; and he traversed Portugal towing golf clubs and playing at various courses.
He’s also worked at five different 5 Star, 5 Diamond properties, including The Little Nell, where you can find him at our Adventure Shop during the warmer months or at the Front Door in the winter.
