More about Greenalicious
Greenalicious raises funds for programs focused on fighting childhood obesity where it has the most impact – the lunchroom. Through a menu of research-based programs and training, Children’s Health Foundation provides healthy, affordable and delicious school lunches to Colorado schools to help reverse the childhood obesity trend. The rate of obesity among kids in the U.S. has more than tripled in the past 30 years.
In Colorado, the rate of childhood obesity is rising faster than in most states. Currently, Colorado ranks as the 23rd most obese state for kids: 14.2 percent of Colorado children are obese, up from 9.9 percent in just 2007, according to the Colorado Health Report Card.
